On January 31st, Central’s indoor track team traveled to Laramie, Wyoming where they competed at the 307 Invitational at the University of Wyoming’s indoor track facility. Laramie High School hosted this meet where Central competed in 14 events.
The Meet
Central had competitors in the 55 meter hurdlers, 55 meter dash, 200 meter run, 400 meter run, 800 meter run, 1600 meter run, 4×200 relay, 4×400 relay, 4×800 relay, shot put, pole vault, high jump, long jump, and triple jump.
Central boys had placers in the top 5 in the following events:
55 Meter Hurdlers- Keygan O’Dell, senior, 3rd place with a time of 8.47.
55 Meter- Archer Ellis, sophomore, tie for 4th place, with a time of 6.77.
400 Meter- Austin Teasley, senior, 1st place with a time of 51.60, and Roman Hannon, senior, in 5th place with a time of 55.56.
1600 Meter- Cal Bibbey, freshman, 1st place with a time of 4:50.27, and Hayden Chapman, junior, 5th place with a time of 5:12.46.
4×400 Relay- A group placed 1st place with a time of 3:41.80, and a second group placed 4th with a time of 4:00.52.
4×800 Relay- A group placed 2nd place with a time of 9:39.53.
Shot Put- Rusty Eilers 4th place with a throw of 45-6 (13.87m).

Central girls participated in all 14 events and the following girls placed top 5 in their events:
55 Meter Hurdlers- London Weaver, junior, 2nd place with a time of 9.53, and Holly Clement, sophomore, 3rd place with a time of 9.56.
400 Meter- Ariann Rodgers, sophomore, 5th place with a time of 1:08.59.
1600 Meter- Sofia Rose, junior, 2nd place with a time of 5:35.49, Malea Adam’s-Case, junior, 3rd place with a time of 5:35.51, Ella Montano, senior, 4th place with a time of 5:36.64, and Claire Coles, junior, 5th place with a time of 5:58.87.
4×200 Relay- A group placed 4th with a time of 1:58.00.
4×400 Relay- A group placed 1st place with a time of 4:23.53.
4×800 Relay- A group had a time of 12:04.89.
High Jump- Hailey Chapin, junior, 2nd place with a jump of 4-10 (1.47m).
Long Jump- Nakaia Howard, freshman, 4th place with a jump of 16-2.25(4.93m), and Renee Wilson, junior, 5th place with a jump of 16-1 (4.90m).
