On Tuesday, November 7th, Central’s Jazz band, under the direction of Mr. Zamboni Brown, played their first concert at East high school. They played four songs including: “Down Home Cookin'” composed by James Swearingen; “Don’t Get Around Much Anymore” composed and arranged by Bob Russel, Duke Ellington, and Roger Pemberton; “I’ve Got You Under My Skin” composed and arranged by Cole porter, and Dave Wolpe; and “I’m Beginning to See the Light” composed and arranged by Don George, Johnny Hodges, Duke Ellington, Harry James, and Paul Baker. Three of the our songs were completely instrumental, while the song “Ive Got You Under My Skin” featured the singing of vocalist Liberty Araas, senior.
